MISSION STATEMENT The Ohio Building Authority was established by the State Legislature in 1963 as an independent authority. It
is governed by a five-member board, each serving a six year term. Board members are appointed by the Governor with
the advice and consent of the Ohio Senate.
Pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code and Section 2i of Article VIII of the Ohio Constitution, the Authority is empowered to issue revenue obligations to finance its projects. It is the goal of the Authority to structure each of its debt issuances in a prudent and fiscally sound manner. |
